Specializing in choreography for Ballet, Jazz, and Lyrical, and incorporating influences from her vast and varied training, Stephanie Bergeron's work is known for its musicality, complexity, and class. She strives for works that both compliment and challenge, tailoring each piece to match the artists and event at hand, while always honouring the history of dance as an art form.

Ms. Bergeron has extensive experience teaching and choreographing competitively, recreationally, privately, and in elementary, secondary, and post-secondary educational environments. She has held the position of Professor for Centennial College- Dance Performance, and has been has been invited as a Recurring Guest Artist and Commissioned Choreographer for Claude Watson Dance at Earl Haig Secondary, Unionville High School, Alexander Mackenzie High School, and Westmount Collegiate, as Rehearsal Mistress for Ballet Jörgen’s The Nutcracker, and as a Guest Artist for many workshops and intensive classes across Ontario.

Ms. Bergeron’s choreography has been featured at Disneyland California, Harbourfront Centre Toronto, Pan-Am Global Fest, and in a multitude of theatres and competitive events. Many of her students have gone on to earn top competitive awards and First Overall placements, and have been accepted into such programs as Arts Unionville, Claude Watson Dance, the National Ballet School Associates Program, and the dance programs at Ryerson University, York University, Concordia University, and George Brown College.

In addition to her work as a dance instructor, choreographer, and guest artist, Ms. Bergeron is an incredibly versatile and well-rounded performer. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts- Honours in Dance from Ryerson University (under the direction of Nadia Potts), and is also a graduate of Unionville High School’s Arts York Dance program. Having trained as a competitive dancer for many years, she earned numerous top overall awards and scholarship titles in many disciplines. As a professional, she is proud to have worked with a number of notable choreographers, including Serge Bennathan, Daniela Kurz, Katharina Bader, Allison Grant, Matjash Mrozewski, David Earle, Valerie Calam, and Shannon Mather. She has also received a grant through the National Arts Centre to produce and perform online for #CanadaPerforms, set to premiere May 30, 2020.

Ms. Bergeron regularly performs throughout Ontario, with recent credits including: The Canadian Opera Company (Dora Award winning productions Eugene Onegin and Death in Venice), Telus, Manulife, Bell Technical Solutions, Honda, WestJet, Estée Lauder, Shoppers Drug Mart, Sunlife Financial, Yonge-Dundas Square (Illuminite), Toronto Pearson Airport (Rethink T3 Opening Ceremony), and several independent films as an actor and actor/dancer.

Ms. Bergeron regularly appears as a Ballet Specialist and All-Around Adjudicator at competitions throughout Canada as a proud member of the Professional Adjudicators Alliance (PAA). In addition, she is a Certified Progressing Ballet Technique Instructor (PBT).
